Privacy Policy
The Moovance application is made available free of charge via download.
The application has two objectives:
– To advise users to help them reduce the environmental impact of their mobility
– To offer services and products related to this purpose.
To that end, the application collects Users’ GPS data with their prior authorisation and only during their trips. Data collected, including actual speed, acceleration, altitude, and mode of transport, are used to estimate the User’s CO2 emissions.
Processing your Personal Data
Your Personal Data is processed by the Moovance SAS company (hereinafter referred to as “we,” “us” or “our”).

No data is transferred outside the European Union. Moovance services and data storage are operated with Google Cloud in Frankfurt, Germany.
What types of Personal Data do we process?
The Publisher collects no sensitive data concerning its Users, such as racial or ethnic origins, political, philosophical or religious opinions, or any data regarding User’s trade union membership, health or sex life.
When you use our Mobile Application, you are required to send us information, some of which identify you (“Personal Data”). This is the case, for example, when you fill in forms (i.e. the registration form), when you contact us by e-mail or other means, and when you inform us of a problem.
We process the following Personal Data:
User name,
E-mail address,
Your vehicle model,
GPS data during trips using motorised modes of transport (car, motorcycle, bus, train, plane, public transport) and green mobility (bicycle, scooter).
The app tracks your location in the background to detect and analyse your trips. The application analyses trip speed and distance to calculate driving indicators and transport modes.
We also process Personal Data about User driving habits and how you use our services, such as:
Driving score: calculated from acceleration/braking detected during your motorised trips (sourced by our telematics provider);
Vehicle CO2: calculated according to your vehicle’s technical specifications;
Driving advice provided after your trips; and
Your potential participation in mobility challenges.

By sharing your Personal Data with Moovance (responsible for data processing), you can:
- Sign up and access the mobile app
- Use our mobility services
- Access challenges and rewards organised on the application;
How long do we keep your Personal Data?
Without any express request to the contrary, your Personal Data shall be kept for no longer than three months after you manually delete your account.
Legal Compliance and Security
We may be required to disclose your Personal Data by law, through legal proceedings, litigation and/or a request from public or governmental authorities inside or outside your country of residence. We may also disclose your personal information if required for purposes of national security, public order, or other matters of public interest, where such disclosure is necessary and appropriate. If permitted by law, we will notify you in advance that your data is to be transferred.
We may also disclose personal information if we believe, in good faith, that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our rights and to pursue recourse available to us, to enforce our terms and conditions, to investigate fraud, or to protect our operations or users.
What are your rights?
As part of aforementioned processing, you have the right to request access to your Personal Data in a structured standard format, as well as the modification and deletion of your data. You also have the right to object to your Personal Data being processed or to request restrictions to said processing.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authorities.
Modification of our Privacy Policy
