It’s almost the end of the school year and officially the start of summer, especially for families ! And so begin the preparations for vacation. Whether it’s transport, accommodation or activities to be planned, the French are increasingly taking into account the environmental impact of their vacations.
Environmental awareness in the tourism sector
Faced with the challenges of climate change, more and more people are changing the way they travel, and with good reason: the tourism sector is responsible for 11% of greenhouse gas emissions in France. As a result, many are looking to reduce the carbon footprint of their vacations, and are trying to control the carbon footprint of travel, the leading source of CO2 emissions in France.
The importance of soft mobility and green initiatives
There are also a growing number of initiatives to encourage eco-friendly mobility in a more playful way, and to reward those who make environmentally-friendly journeys.
Source, the1st socially responsible mobile package launched by Bouygues Telecom, joins forces with Moovance to encourage and promote environmental commitment!
The partnership between Source Mobile and Moovance
Both companies are convinced that it is necessary to act to immediately reduce our carbon footprint, and that this requires collective mobilization around concrete, positive actions. “Source and Moovance share the same commitment to responsible causes and solidarity, so setting up a partnership between our 2 brands seemed obvious to us!” – says Marine Gaffori, Marketing Manager at Bouygues Telecom.
On the one hand, Moovance rewards its users when they travel in an eco-responsible way, thanks to points that can be accumulated on the application called Mooves, convertible into cash, advantages with partners or even donations to associations. On the other hand, the Source Mobile plan allows each plan holder to transform their unused gigas into “drops of water”, a virtual currency that can be used to make donations to over a thousand partner associations. For these reasons, the two companies decided to launch the MOOVE WITH SOURCE.
From June 19 to 25, Source Mobile is challenging users of the Moovance app to travel 30 km green (on foot, by bike, by public transport, by electric scooter). If the challenge is met, participants will win 100 Mooves, a free SIM card and up to one month’s free use of the Source mobile package.
About Source – Bouygues Telecom

For just 10 euros a month with no commitment, this package offers: 40 GB of Internet (10 GB in Europe / DOM), unlimited calls and SMS/MMS. What’s more, every unused gigabyte entitles the user to 20 “water drops”, a virtual currency that can then be used to fund a panel of over 1,000 associations.
